Willows Dream, Asheville, NC

About six years a go the Lanier family decided that they wanted a better place to raise their kids and a less chaotic life. Marcy Lanier, a hairstylist of twenty years, had always dreamed of opening her own salon in combination with a magical, eclectic gift shop.

Willow's Dream is truly a family adventure. Cheri, Marcy's older sister, is a favorite artist among our customers. We can't seem keep her pottery on the walls! As well as coming up with unique art for our store, Robyn created the gorgeous Willow's Dream logo. She is our creative graphic designer. Robyn is the creator and entrepreneur of a line of babywear if you'd like to visit her she can be found at: www.hellobabywear.com. It's been a joy to carry their art and watch our customers love it as well.

Willow'd Dream Family

When the Lanier's found Asheville, they knew that is was just the place to realize their dreams. It took some time but in October 2005, Willow's Dream, named for their daughter, became their reality. Willow's Dream is three stores in one. The boutique in the front of the house is called Connor's Corner, named for the Lanier's son, Connor Wolfe. The back of the house hosts a fantastic full service salon. Continue your adventure with Willow's Dream to our spa upstairs.

As the Laniers continue to root themselves in Asheville life, they want to be more than just shop owners. "Our customers are our friends," says Marcy, "This is a place to relax and talk and spend a little time."

In addition to the immediate family members, store manager Sarahbeth Larrimore and Chelle Debruin are honorary members of the Lanier family. These two keep up with all the goings on at Willow's Dream. They are always ready to match you up with the right stylist, or help you find that perfect gift.

When not having a blast at Willow's Dream, Sarahbeth is sewing away for her business Unabashed apparel and Chelle is chasing after her two gorgeous girls.
